Hasan Haj was an exemplary student, always with a smile on his face and engaged in class and in practice with his teachers and fellow students. It was a young professional equal to himself that we met again on Wednesday 27 April during a "Chef's workshop" career event organised by the corporate relations team in the lecture theatre.
The 2nd and 3rd year Bachelor of International Management of Culinary Arts students attended a morning workshop on the making of Hasan's flagship recipe: the traditional pâté en croûte. He passed on his know-how and shared his career path as well as a few anecdotes from his studies, in particular his arrival at the school thanks to the Peace By Tourism Foundation, which brings together Palestinian and Israeli students of the three monotheistic faiths.
"Nine years after my arrival at Institut Paul Bocuse, I had the pleasure of crossing over to the other side and giving a culinary demonstration to the students.
What a pleasure!"
Today, Hasan is his own boss, he gives courses to lovers of good food and of course of pâté en croûte during culinary workshops, he also answers many requests from caterers, and likes to make himself known via his YouTube channel ShowDevant!
