INSTANT ALUMNI Presented by Solène Gros (2019) and Saâd Guessous (2019/2021)

Despite the snow alert in Isère, on Monday 29 November, Solène Gros (2013) and Saâd Guessous (2019/2021) came to the school to talk about their professional experiences with our students.

A year ago, Solène and her family created "La Bel Vie en Trièves" - a high-end senior residence in the heart of her village in Isère, as well as a restaurant, "Max'So", run by Saad since October.   Their talk focused on entrepreneurship and the day-to-day management of a senior residence and a restaurant open seven days a week. What are the challenges? What type of management is required? What type of offer?

From a small restaurant with twenty covers opened in June 2021, at the end of the lockdown, and about which Solène was not convinced at the beginning, it has been a real hit! Residents and villagers alike have been calling for even more! Summer events, special evening events, etc., all of which Solène managed with great skill despite, as she said, "the problems" with staff. For a few weeks now, she has been relieved to be able to count on the professionalism and skills of Saad, who has quickly settled into this new working environment.

After developing the complete offer and training the staff, Solène will leave the company to take on a new challenge at the beginning of 2022: taking over the management of a hotel in Tain l'Ermitage.
