Time For Respect: Institut Paul Bocuse Relationships and Behaviours Charter
Dear students,
Together with the corporate relations and campus teams, we have launched a vast operation to raise awareness among companies on how to improve the conditions for welcoming our trainees and, more generally, how to ensure that our professions benefit from a caring management culture.
Our positive and constructive approach should enable us to involve as many professionals as possible in this process in order to enhance the appeal of our professions, which are experiencing an unparalleled labour shortage, and to work with them to change their behaviour in response to changes across society.
As a leading school, it is also our role to contribute to raising awareness among industry professionals.
By way of example, please find enclosed the document sent to more than 2,000 companies, many of which will welcome or are already welcoming you as a trainee. This Charter is binding and must be returned to us signed by the companies concerned.
Within a few hours of being sent out, we had already registered almost 200 signatures.
At the beginning of the next academic year, we will be organising a day-long event at the school focusing on this topic, in the presence of industry professionals and journalists.
Please do not hesitate to relay questions and reactions from your contacts about this major initiative.
Thank you in advance for being ambassadors of this initiative. Do not hesitate to share any questions you may have with your talent managers.
I would also like to remind you that, in addition to the requirement that you be made to feel welcome in the workplace, you also have responsibilities in terms of dedication, respect and professionalism, which contribute to the image of your school and to your future employability 😉.
I wish you all an excellent professional experience.
